See the History of Levittown, PA

Built in lower Bucks County in 1952, Levittown was the largest pre-planned city of its time as well as the 10th largest city in Pennsylvania. It consisted of four municipalities – Levittown in Tullytown Boro, Levittown in Bristol Township, Levittown in Falls Township, and Levittown in Middletown Township. Levittown was meticulously planned right down to the last shrub and tree. 18 new schools and churches for all faiths were built in the community. The downtown "Levittown Shopping Center" had over 60 stores to serve Levittown and the surrounding area.
